Paul Anticoni OBE stepping down as Chief Executive in June 2027

Paul Anticoni stepping down as Chief Executive

After a wonderful 21 years, I will be stepping down as Chief Executive of World Jewish Relief in June 2027.

Leading this organisation has been an immense privilege, and I feel it is now time for a new Chief Executive to take on this position, bring their ideas and new energy to ensure we can deliver on our mission for yet another generation.

While I know June 2027 seems like a long way off, I wanted to give sufficient notice so that we can plan ahead sensibly. World Jewish Relief’s Trustees will begin the process of finding my successor in Summer 2026.

Over the next 14 months I will continue to lead World Jewish Relief with the same passion and dedication that has always been central to my tenure. I am more determined than ever to expand our assistance to people in crisis, within and beyond the Jewish Community, from Ukraine to Israel and from Ethiopia to the UK.

At a time when demand for our services is so overwhelmingly vast, I remain deeply committed to this task. I am incredibly grateful to all our supporters and friends, who have been instrumental in helping World Jewish Relief provide essential and life-changing support to hundreds of thousands of people.

Paul Anticoni

“Paul’s leadership over the last 20 years has shaped World Jewish Relief today – a strong and effective organisation with a clear mission and values; a wealth of talented professional expertise; deep relationships with all key stakeholders and a sound balance sheet, all of which combined give us the strength and flexibility to respond to crises.

His passion and commitment, alongside that of the wider team, enables us to reach and support hundreds of thousands of people, and we are immensely grateful for the incredible part of his life that he has given to this special organisation.

Notice of his intentions are big news after such a long period of success,  and when the time comes in June 2027,  Paul will be leaving with our utmost appreciation for the vast impact he has had.

For now, it’s business as usual and I know he will continue to lead the organisation these next 14 months with his trademark energy and intensity, while, in parallel, the Trustee Board will kick off the search for a worthy successor.”
